Ginés Abellán

BIO

Ginés Abellán graduated at the Professional Training Center Claudio Galeno, Murcia (Spain). He is a laboratory technician working at CEBAS Institute that belongs to the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) at the Department of Food Science and Technology in Murcia (Spain). He is a member of the research group on Microbiology and Quality of Fruits and Vegetables. He did his curricular internship in this research group and has accumulated more than two years of experience working with this team.

RESEARCH INTEREST

Ginés’ scientific activities involve several topics such as i) microbiological hazard analysis in fresh-cut processing lines, ii) epidemiological studies of microorganisms in wastewater treatment plants, and iii) evaluation of postharvest bacteriophage treatment in vegetables.
